I’ve been coming to John Browns for close to 5 years now as the best destination for my Sunday drives. From the old crew of Liam and Sofia, to the new faces behind the counter, there has always been a smile asking me “what’re you up to today?” along side some of the best coffee I have ever had. Different from any other coffee place, even the other local options, the atmosphere and camaraderie at this shop keeps me coming back, time and time again. While the pastries have made the lines longer, the cars have become the new focus of this establishment for me. This shop would not be the same without them. John Browns is not just a damn fine cup of coffee. It has been the meeting point for years, the place new friends are made, old ones reunited, and the place I saw my boyfriend for the very first time. JB’s has a special place in my life and I hope that never changes.

Wow, this coffee is everything I’ve been searching for! It’s the perfect blend of smoothness and richness, with just the right amount of depth to make each cup feel indulgent. The aroma alone is enough to get you excited—it's warm, inviting, and absolutely heavenly. As for the taste and selection, this place has something for everyone, making it perfect for both mornings and afternoon pick-me-ups. The texture of the coffee is wonderfully velvety, and the coffee has a clean finish with no bitterness lingering behind. Whether you're brewing as a drip coffee, pour-over, or espresso, the results are consistently excellent. It's definitely one of the top places for both coffee and a little sweet if you're interested in that too! I can’t recommend this enough—it's the kind of coffee that makes you look forward to your next cup. Perfect for coffee lovers who enjoy quality without compromise!

First of all the location is beautiful, really lovely place to enjoy a nice day outside and also grab a great coffee or pastry. I appreciated the excellent service they explained all the pastry options (there were a lot!) and also recommended what the crowd favorite is for coffee. I ended up with a brown sugar maple latte with cinnamon and oat milk. Also tried the cookies and cream cupcake and a cinnamon sugar pastry (can’t remember the name but it was delicious). Definitely recommended!

Great little coffee shop! Small, tough parking lot on a Saturday morning when it’s always busy. Loved the coffee, and pretty good baked goods also!

John Brown Coffee is one of our favorite shops in the Baltimore area. It's especially nice in the fall and spring to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Parking can be tricky on the weekends and there's usually a line but that shows popular it is! There's no indoor seating, you just walk up to the window to order. On weekends there is usually a small farmers market across the street!
